Blue leaf

I have been trying my hand at painting. I bought some canvas boards for acrylic paint. The leaf was a pencil drawing in my sketch book, which I did a while ago. I decided to use blues, mixed with white, green, yellow and a brown. It was painted to try out the board and something unusual for me to paint the background.
I quite like the finished result, a bit of fun as the colours are straight out of my head.

This is just gorgeous!! I love the swirls and colors that you used. When I doodle, I tend to do swirl/stripe patterns like this, so combined with the color, it really caught my eye. Beautiful! And there is something so appealing to me about seeing a drawing that is both controlled (of the leaf itself), and abstract/free in the interior.

It is always good to move out of our comfort zone. I like your experiment with colour too, very brave!

This is fun, and sort of trippy. I love it!

I'm looking for words but struggling... Can't be concise!
I adore everything about this painting.
The texture of the board that shows well in your picture and it's beautiful hues to compliment the main image, the colour combinations and the design for the leaf, ...... too much to love!
