Last Saturday I went to watch a wedding at the village church. As I walked along the road I saw this moth on the ground, hit by a car maybe, perfect but no longer alive. I wrapped it in tissue and put it in my bag. It is a Magpie Moth, delicate and with the most beautiful markings. The bride looked stunning in her fabulous dress. My Moth surely had her finest hour with her amazing wings.
My drawing is in black ink pen and derwent crayons for the orange and yellowy makings.

A beautiful drawing for a beautiful butterfly. You did a wonderful job with the details!
The bride may never know she had such a lovely guest at her wedding, but now we do because of your story.
Thanks for sharing!
Beautifully done!
how delicate! Bravo!
Beautiful. Again, so delicately drawn, I love it.
Lovely! You always do such a beautiful job on your nature drawings.
So, here's the moth. Beautiful!!!
I found a dead moth and put it in my purse for drawing it later. Do I need to say it's not a good idea to put it in the coin pocket?:)
Great work!
You did such a beautiful job capturing the delicateness of the wings. Now she's immortalized forever. :-)
